Paper Memories is buying - please contact us if you have items that fit our wants!  Here is a detailed list:

1. Old Postcards: street views, historic people, real-photos, trains, political rallies, Roanoke, Salem scenes, Halloween, Uncle Sam, advertising, fancy French cards, Bauhaus Exhibit, other subjects - singles, albums or collections!        
2. Old photos (1800s-early 1900s) of soldiers, Civil War, Abe Lincoln, sports, cowboys and Indians, occupational, outdoors scenes, and other unusual subjects.  Old photos on cardboard, metal or glass, in hinged cases;  Albums filled with any of these or empty hinged cases. Also any books or literature about photographers.
3.  Historic documents: Colonial period items, Presidentially-signed commissions, land grants, military papers, deeds, mortgages, insurance papers, financial papers, stock certificates, correspondence of important people, old maps. 4.  Quality books: limited editions, first editions, leather or fancy bindings, fore-edge painted, autographed. Specialty books such as Alcoholics Anonymous (1939-1950s), Narcotics Anonymous (Carena Pub. 1982), old Catalogs showing products (barber supplies, tools, furniture, fireworks, etc.) or from retail stores. 5.  Old magazines: Time, Newsweek, Life, Delineator, Country Life, Sports Illustrated, SI for Kids, other sports, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Camera Work, Skin Diver, Surfing, Burr-McIntosh, Godeys, the Crisis, Screenland, TV Guide, etc.   6.  Science fiction books (Robert Heinlein, E. E. Smith, L. Ron Hubbard, etc. ) and old sci-fi or mystery magazines (The Shadow, Amazing Tales, Weird Tales, Spider, Black Mask, Operator Five, etc.)  7.  Oriental paper items (postal history, travel brochures, photographs, etc.). 8.  Soldier letters and envelopes from all Wars - Revolutionary to Vietnam. 9.  “Social-history” items: slavery-related, 1960s protests (Black Panther Party, etc.), Political ribbons and badges          10.  Civil War items: military unit histories, enlistment/discharge papers, Veteran reunion items such as United Confederate Veteran (U.C.V.) items, uniforms, weapons, photos, letters, diaries, documents, etc.         11.  Autographed Items from important people - presidents, world leaders, military, industry, entertainment, etc.  12.  Old Comic Books (1930s-1960s), Big Little Books of the 1930s, Sunday Funnies pages 1920s-1950s.
13.  Old “Trade” cards advertising products (clipper ships, mechanical banks, soft drinks, etc.) and other old advertising items such as porcelain or cardboard signs, thermometers, clocks, trays, 14.  Old fishing/hunting: licenses and badges, old fishing lures in boxes, old tackle boxes, old fishing tackle catalogs. 15.  Advertising Calendars (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Winchester, local companies, etc) 16.  Old Sports programs - college, professional, Kentucky Derby, World Series, All-Star games, Air Races, etc.         17.  Stamp Collections and old envelopes with advertising on them. 18.  Old currency (Confederate and US), and old coins, tokens, medals. 19.  Old posters: military, movie, advertising, travel, 1960s rock concerts, etc.; also Record Albums  20.  Non-Paper items: old toys; old slot cars; Virginia Brewing items; Kentucky Derby glasses; chauffeur badges;  old baseball bats; old art pottery, art glass, or fancy lamps; old fancy hard plastic tabletop radios; old fountain pens; old felt souvenir pennants;  early American silver pieces;   railroad china & silver.
